Pasquale Ambrosini – Software Engineer and iOS Developer

P

Pasquale Ambrosini definitely has “the gift of the gab”! Within our interview, the Italian freelancer surprised us and won us over with his charm, wit and sharp tongue. As a Software Engineer and iOS developer, the open-minded freelancers stirs up the Italian and International project market with his mobile apps, fantastic designs and software products. Most of his project orders come from abroad through the World Wide Web. Let’s meet the rock star among our freelancers: Pasquale Ambrosini!

1) First off, can you tell us bit about yourself?
I’m Pasquale Ambrosini, Italian Software Engineer and Senior iOS Developer. I’m a freelancer in my spare time, just kidding, i’m a freelancer since 2010. I like rapid protoyping, games development, pizza, beer and girls as well.

2) If you would search for your profile on Google, which are the three keywords you would type in the search bar?
iOS developer, firmware engineer and awesome guy 😉

3) What was your inspiration and when did you actually decide to become a freelancer?
I’m currently a student, but i can’t earn money from this and i started to work for third party companies, then i have decided to become a freelancer.

4) What kind of services have your clients asked you to provide?
As a mobile developer, my main purpose is to deliver great code, nice documentation and amazing UI/UX.

5) Do you use other freelancers or companies to provide skills that you don´t possess?
Sure, why not? It’s simple, if your work-day is more expensive than pay other company, you MUST choose this way to implement a function or write your app in an other platform. Your time is gold.

6) Now tell us, how do you find new clients that are interested in your services?
WWW is the answer, here in Italy there are very few open-minded people on freelancing and this is the only way to stay in touch with potential clients.

7) What about freelancermap.com? Can you tell us a little bit about your experience with our IT-network?
Great idea, freelancermap is a great platform where you can find customers or hire a developer and just right now i’m in contact with 3 companies.

8) How do you set yourself apart from your competitors? What makes you special?
I’m an open-mind guy and i don’t stop myself if there is a problem i can’t solve, but i start to find a solution or contact people that can do! And i’m an amazing chef! 😉

9) What are the top three books, blogs or magazines you read to stay up to date in the IT-market?
Nice question, all but not Wired, is junk, really! IT magazines are very boring because you can find on WWW things that can you will find on magazines few months later, for blogs engadget.com is a great blog and for books, mmmh you can read a book about life of amazing people like Steve Jobs or Linus Torvalds.
