Project Manager - Customer Remediation - 6 months - Manchester

A top retail bank based in Manchester currently requires a Project Manager to join a customer remediation programme for an initial 6 months.

Overview of role

A general all round Finance Business Partner who is willing to be hands on and use their own initiative. You will become a Subject Matter Expert on the CCA project especially around redress issues and timing of payments/provisions.

The Key Requirements are

  • An experienced project manager (programme management isn't required)
  • Experience of setting up a remediation project/operation
  • Establishing and leading a small project team - BAs, IT PM, business subject matter experts (SMEs)

The Key Elements of the role

  • Ensure the issue is fully defined and scoped and the remediation requirement is clearly articulated
  • Identify the population of customers/transactions in scope and sub segment - sourcing the data and ensuring it is robust and assurance testing has been performed on it
  • Defining the remediation approach( there may be different approaches for different segments) and processes
  • Working with the Remediation Operations team and other operating areas to set up the remediation operation including:-
    • People
    • Tools - systems, data, redress calculators etc
    • Processes
    • Training and accreditation
    • MI/reporting/control
