Description
Duties:
Linux
Creating user accounts and groups, environment and system configuration and optimization
BASH scripting, especially login scripts
Creating login menus
Setting OS environment variables
Umask settings
Creating aliases
Apache
Modifying Apache configuration files
Analyzing logs and diagnosing issues
MySQL
Perform and optimize queries
Create views and stored procedures
Troubleshoot issues
Basic MySQL admin
PHP
Configure PHP
Analyze logs
Troubleshoot issues
Windows Desktop
Assist with installation and configuration of desktop software
Troubleshoot issues with email: Outlook and Exchange
Networking
Configuration of VPN clients
Analysis and troubleshooting of connectivity issues related to the following:
VPN
SSH
Web Application Support
Experience
3 to 7 years experience
Experience in insurance or medical field highly preferred
Additional Skills desired (Any combination is valuable. The more the better, but not all are expected.)
MongoDB
Graylog
Virtual Machines, especially Virtual Box and XenServer
Containerization e. provisioning technologies (ideally Chef, but familiarity with Puppet, Ansible a definite plus

Education
Baccalaureate level education or equivalent work experience required
