I am currently recruiting for a government department who are looking for a forward thinking Python developer to join a fast paced and motivated team. This is a 3 month contract opportunity to work within a high profile and fast moving government department. This opportunity is based in Plymouth.
You will need to have the following:
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge successfully using clear coaching and mentoring structures.
- Elastic search skills
- Experience of participation Agile software development projects
- Experience or familiarity with the principles of software development methodologies and tools
- Experience of working on technical projects within a team
- Full life cycle application development including
- Application design
- Analysis
- Implementation
- Software testing
- Support, maintain and document software functionality and maintain standards compliance.
- Evaluate and identify new tools and technologies for implementation
- Knowledge of the use of version control systems such as subversion or git
- Data repositories
- APIs
- HTML Front End
- Test driven development
- Using Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
- Front End graphical user interface design
- Code analysis, code metrics and review
- Requirements analysis
- System risk analysis
- Software reliability analysis
- Quality assurance methods
- SQL and No SQL databases
