Urgently seeking a Linux Systems Administrator, based in London on a contract basis for 3 months for a well established Education institute.My client is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator, mainly Redhat ,Centos Puppet and LDAP. The successful candidate is to come in and maintain the servers, keep them running and deal with any issues that occur. There will also be an element of supporting and dealing with web server files and supporting the users PC's, which run on Fedora and Puppet.
This will purely be a Linux, Redhat Centos, Puppet, Ldap role with some virtualisation. The main objective of this role will be to maintain the Linux servers and the entire infrastructure, as well as Monitoring and updating the virtual machines, some knowledge of networks will be needed and essentially support from 1st-3rd Line on the Linux side.
This is a great opportunity to work in a prestigious organisation, focusing on Linux. This is a varied role which will involve anything from 1st-3rd line, server maintenance and updating virtual servers as maintaining them, which will give you great exposure and develop your skill set, to use further on in your career.

There is a large puppet set up that controls most of the servers and Linux desktops, so a good knowledge of puppet is important ideally certified. There is also a LDAP database that controls both their users and disk access; therefore a good knowledge of LDAP is useful
