Description
We have been requested to find an experienced developer for a long contract in a beautiful location ( ISPRA, Lake Maggiore in Lombardy in northern Italy )
The contract is with a consultancy to be on an assignment at a large European community site located at ISPRA.
Details as follows:-
Technical skills
General IT experience in developing web applications and use of web content management systems: 8 years
Experience on Java programming language and web application development (PHP, JSP Tomcat/servlet)
Knowledge of Linux operating principles and fundamental concepts of data management
Good knowledge of SQL and Oracle
Web services
Servlets
Good Knowledge of Ajax Web technologies (HTTP, XML, JavaScript, etc )
Optional expertise:
Ajax
3.1.3. Specific expertise
Java programming language and web application development (PHP, JSP Tomcat/servlet): 6 years
Working experience on programs for anonymous web access such as TOR or JAP: 1 year
Working experience on Web scraping (web harvesting or web data extraction) technique and tools such as htmlunit: 1 year
Working experience with web applications testing tools such as Selenium or Junit: 1 year
3.1.4. General skills
- Good oral and written knowledge of English is indispensable
to communicate with JRC research staff
Ability to collect and analyze facts, to identify problems, and provide solutions.
The rate is only Eur 310/day but the location is superb.
