Description
Senior Product Developer (Mechanical) required to join a global medical product team in Norway.They require the mechanical developer to use his/her technical and product development skills to help improve current products, as well as develop the next generation.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Hands-on prototype build
* Creating/editing technical specifications, CAD and drawings (mechanical assemblies and components)
* Design for function & use, endurance & environment
* Design for service & compliance (regulatory)
* Design for manufacturing & assembly (molded, stamped, cast & machined components)
* Integration of electro-mechanical components (PCA, cables, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
* Testing & Verification (planning, testing and reporting)
* Managing bills-of-materials, coordinating manufacturing and purchasing activities
* Managing Engineering Changes & PDM/PLM – Product Data Management / Product Lifecycle Management
* Leading development teams; driving your design through our facility, from raw material to packaged product
Requirements:
* Relevant degree education and a passion for product development and desire to understand customer needs and challenges.
* Innovative, highly motivated and able to work equally well alone or within a team setting
* Ideally, with experience with medical or consumer or automotive products and understand development and manufacturing processes.
* Routinely apply technical investigation (root-cause), problem solving, and risk management in the process.
