Description

ThinkFolio Technical Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • Business Analyst for the Front Office investment and trading platforms, including interfacing with portfolio managers and traders daily
  • Troubleshooting business issues, solving problems to provide solutions to diverse investment teams and the product aligned trading desks
  • Ownership and accountability for the operation, monitoring and integrity of the technology platform
  • Escalation support for the members of the team located in other regions including evenings and weekends on a rotational basis
  • Ownership and participation in the Incident and problem management processes, being accountable for resolution, root cause analysis and technology and business reporting and communication.
  • Providing oversight for the stability of the production environment within the change management process ensuring policies are enforced and adhered to
  • Relationship management internally with the investment teams, trading desks, operations teams, legal, audit, risk and compliance teams.
  • Navigate the wider technology organization; build relationships to manage the team's agenda with our critical technology partners.
  • Interface with external vendors and their technical support and development organizations ensuring focus to resolution of issues and strategic enhancements.
  • Proactively identify improvements and address them through independent thinking within a consensus driven team.

Essential:

  • Strong experience in financial services with a focus in asset management
  • Strong experience in technology
  • Previous experience having used and supported ThinkFolio
  • Detailed knowledge of the trading life cycle, with a focus on Front Office technology
  • In depth knowledge of portfolio management and trading systems throughout the full application stack, infrastructure to GUI
  • Understanding of the Asset Management Business with a detailed knowledge of Front Office workflows and business processes.
  • Multi Asset class product knowledge
  • Proven track record in project management, project delivery
  • Prior experience in technology service delivery teams
  • Experience of working within a global organization effectively leveraging cross regional teams
  • Technical fluency in a variety of technologies including industry leading asset management vendor applications
  • Knowledge of operating systems: UNIX, Windows, and Linux.
  • Experience with the use and capabilities of Enterprise scheduling/workflow software. Experience with Autosys and/or Control M preferred.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge on SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase databases.
  • PERL, UNIX, and Windows Scripting experience.
  • Experience with the use and capabilities of ETL software.
  • Object Oriented development language knowledge preferably Java
