Summary
  • End to End Solution lead for the Electrical Engineering product development process
Department Description:
  • Engineering IT team is responsible for solution expertise and managing end to end critical engineering process & design applications.
  • This includes strong partnership with engineering community to meet their current and future business strategies.
  • The team also is responsible for the research, analysis, requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration of software features, and all software management, integration and validation activities to support engineering teams.
  • In addition, the team provides technical and other leadership in working through issues with other teams and follow up of issues to conclusion.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical engineering application thought leadership and solution guidance
  • Partner with electrical engineering community to define overall process and application solution sets
  • Define short and long term process and application strategies
  • Define overall electrical engineering application and process architecture and ensure integration efficiencies with other engineering processes and applications
  • Partner with engineering to deploy processes and applications
  • Partner with engineering to support processes and applications
  • Requirements gathering and documentation to support application design and test activities
  • Application configuration and coding to support the engineering business processes
  • Application test creation and documentation of results
  • Provides operation support to resolution and escalates incidents based on priority and time frame to senior IT management and senior business customers.
  • Maintains communications plan with engineering regarding application roadmaps, the status of problems/incidents, and project plans/status.
  • Vendor application relationship management, roadmap influence, and ongoing license optimization & management
SKILLS:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering plus a minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering design and electrical design applications
  • Bachelors Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in engineering design and electrical design applications
  • Engineering application selection, configuration, test, deployment and support
  • Thorough understanding of engineering design business processes - from concept to design to release to support to end of life.
  • Engineering business facing experience
  • Strong communicate skills to effectively with work with engineering business and IT partners
  • Team leadership & project mgmt skills
  • JDM process and coordination
  • Electrical Design processes and tools - Cadence PCB Allegro schematic capture, signal integrity, spice simulation, library development
  • PCB Design processes and tools - Cadence PCB Allegro layout, Autorouting, Constraint Manager, Power Integrity; Mentor Valor DFM/DFT/DFA
  • High Density and High Frequency layout processes.
  • Library development/management and mechanical design integration
  • RF Design processes and tools - Agilent ADS RF simulations, cluster GPU hardware environment
  • Antenna Design process and tools - CST and Remcom XFDTD antenna simulations and SAR tests, cluster GPU hardware environment
  • IC Design process and tools - Cadence Virtuoso mixed signal schematic capture and layout, Cadence Assura verification,
  • Cadence Incisive and Synopsys digital design. IC Foundry PDK install and configuration.
  • Must have experience managing and/or deploying Cadence.
