Job Title – Project manager, Electrical
Reports to – Head of Construction
Job Summary
- Plans ad or designs electrical systems for wide range of projects as directed. They will be responsible for overall contract, execution and management of projects from start of construction to completion. Coordinates other elements of projects with other disciplines.
- Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare schematic and physical design of new and or modifications to existing electrical systems (high and low voltage power distribution, lighting, telephone systems, TV systems, fire detection, elt) as assigned.
- Prepare estimates of construction cost
- Prepares work schedules
- Coordinates electrical work with other engineers and hospital staff
- Makes design decision on their own initiative as directed
- Prepares complete design packages of electrical work including drawings specifications and bill of quantise as assigned
- Supervises and inspects installed work designed by the engineer and others
- Inspects on site construction for compliance with the contracts technical specifications
- Review recommends approval of shop drawings, products data and samples submitted by contractors
- Monitors progress and quality assurance
- Supervises personnel assigned to assist the engineer
- Reviews change others and substitutions
- Follows all hospital departmental related policies and procedures
- Participates in self and others educations progression training and development
- Performs other tasked as assigned
