Job Mission

To contribute to various stages of development, integration and qualification of projection sub-systems by specializing in the modelling of optical sub-systems and control algorithms.

Job Description

  • Contributes to the modelling of lenses, building and verification of lens models and the control loop design of optical systems.
  • Participates in feasibility studies relating to system optimization and to specific system control loops.
  • Designs and specifies optical models and system control models and is responsible for establishing the required technical product documentation.
  • Specifies, designs and makes tests for model qualification, testing tools and materials needed; supervises and carries out the optical tests and adapts the models accordingly.
  • Ensures the modularity and serviceability of the models and control loops.
  • Drives the integration of the optical sub-system models and control models into products, analyses the problems, and drives solutions.
  • Analyze (sub)system performance and control relating to the product performance, securing the sub-system qualification towards system specifications.

Education

MSc or PhD degree in mathematics (with physics knowledge) or physics.

Experience

- as from 2 years industrial Experience in the field of high-tech system development. Broad knowledge of modelling and simulation and system control algorithms. Proven experience in programming (Matlab) and data analysis.

- PhD candidates with no exp., are also welcome to apply.

  • Leadership skills next to analytical ability with a pragmatic and pro-active attitude.
  • Ability to switch between in-depth technology and high-level specifications.
  • Good communicational skills and good command of the English language.
