Electric Motor Design Engineer / Contract / 3-6 months / Excellent rates / North EastI have a project requirement for a client in the North East for A 3-6 month contract. There is a chance to work remotely, however the initial stages of the project requires you to be on site.
I'm looking for an experienced Electric Motor Design Engineer to assist in the specification, design, development, validation and launch of both AC Induction and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Electric Traction motors used in the drivetrains of road going commercial electric vehicles deployed in world markets.
Essential Skills:
- Design experience of AC Induction or Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines
- Knowledge of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
- Experience of all aspects of Electric Motor Design - theory, motor types, motor control, performance, magnets, air-gap etc.
- Expert CAD skills and knowledge of motor CAE analytical design and simulation packages: ANSYS, Motor-CAD/Motor-LAB, Jmag, MagNet or equlivalent
- Knowledge of EMC design
- Knowledge of Design and Process FMEA techniques and processes
