Network Engineer

Job Description:
This position is to support the sustained and new operations supported by PE Operations. This work is mainly focused around standardizing platforms to make them consistent and stable, daily maintenance to keep the lights on; and deployment of any new services or features. Over the course of these products, there have been many changes applied across the hundreds of systems, which has led to inconsistencies across the platforms. These inconsistencies have led to outages and increase time to resolution. The most important function of DNS Servers is the translation (resolution) of human-memorable domain names and hostnames into the corresponding numeric Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, the second principal name space of the Internet which is used to identify and locate computer systems and resources on the Internet.

Required:

1) Linux
2) Troubleshooting background
3) Come from a large data center
4) This candidate will be part of the DNS team

Preferred: BGP, DNS, Red Hat, Puppet
