Description:The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting a larger category of Strategic Projects within Indirect and Logistics. This position supports the Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and maintain a fact base (spend cube, market analysis, business needs assessment) and performance analytics (bid events, supplier negotiation and contract analysis) related to assigned categories.
Operating Services:
- Metal working, Electrical and Mechanical Installation
- Concrete, Interior Finishing, Carpentry
- Ingredient Handling, Forming and Baking, Packaging
- Special Projects such as Lab Relocation, Production Line Installation, etc
- Development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies for assigned sub-categories.
- Driving improvements in processes, capabilities and systems within the broader category of spend.
- Relationship management with key suppliers within assigned categories.
- Supporting sourcing strategies, growth platforms, procurement department goals and metrics.
- Perform spend, contract and market analyses for assigned categories.
- Validate and manage price updates.
- Develop and launch bid events, prepare bid analysis, make sourcing recommendations.
- Assist the various groups, ie engineers to develop Scopes of Work for Bid Events supporting the plant projects such as Line of the Future.
- Generate materials in support of presentations, workshops and negotiations.
- Communicate sourcing decisions to stakeholders and ensure necessary system updates are performed.
- Provide necessary inputs for supply agreements and monitor compliance.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance as assigned.
- Ensure adherence and compliance to procurement processes and policies.
- Driving Quality and Corporate Responsibility Programs.
- Managing transactional activities related to assigned categories including:
- Entry and management of projects in Volt
- Prepare Bid Waiver and Bid Record documents to obtain sourcing approvals
- Issue Non-Disclosure Agreements, Agreements and Amendments
- Compliance to company policies (eg financial policies, procurement policies, confidentiality and risk management policies) and communication of policies to suppliers and stakeholders to minimize risks.

- Proficient in Microsoft software: Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Attention to details
