Role: Financial Analyst (Graduate and above)
Location: Stirling, Scotland
Duration: 12 months
Rate: DOE
Role Purpose:
Global Data Services is made up from 3 groups: Global Market Data within HSBC Securities Services, Global Data Operations from GB&M, and Reference Data IT.
Accountabilities:
- Carry out proactive and reactive research into investment market practices, at instigation of the Assistant Manager, assessing the impact on existing Market Data policies and updating/amending these where required
- Keep up to date with market developments through liaison with relevant information vendors and review of market publications as directed by Assistant Manager
- Ensure effective communication
- Express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level or hold Investment related qualification (eg Securities Institute certificate)
- Ability to plan and organise workload, taking into account relative priorities
- Ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines
- Strong relationships skills/ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Flexible approach to working hours and environment
