Location: Southampton easily commutable from Portsmouth, Hampshire, Reading and with excellent access from South Coast
Rate: £42.00 per hour LTD
Outsource UK Ltd is actively seeking to recruit an IC Layout Engineer for a contract role on behalf of a client.

A leading Engineering and Defence organisation
The Job:
The purpose of the IC Layout Engineer role is to floor plan, layout and verify mixed signal CMOS IC Designs.
Key Responsibility Areas
The successful IC Layout Engineer candidate will be responsible for the following:
To complete floor planning and physical layout of analogue and digital (full custom) circuits
To complete physical verification tasks (DRC/ERC/LVS)
To complete other design verification tasks
To complete performance analysis and modelling tasks (eg IR drop analysis)
To work to company design process and procedures
Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge
Ability to complete CMOS mixed signal IC layout and physical verification tasks (DRC,LVS)
Ability to assimilate and apply technical information to design tasks and to problem solving
Evidence of good organisation, planning and execution of work
Ability to use industry standard CAD tools (Cadence preferred)
Ability to work closely in a team with other engineering and science disciplines
Effective communicator
Demonstrate flexible approach
Silicon device 'tape out' process is desirable
Knowledge of analogue micro-electronics is desirable
