Desk Side Support, part time position
Location - Bellingham, WA
Schedule - Every Saturday and Sunday; 8.0 hrs shift each day
Hours - 8am to 5pm
Requirements:
A+ Certification is required regardless of experience; can obtain within first 60-90 of employment at candidate's cost, with continuing employment contingent on successfully obtaining within no later than 90 days of start date.
General Scope:
- Primarily have Windows 7 computers but still have several Windows XP machines that are staying on XP for now
- All desktops and monitors are Lenovo
- There is a mix of HP, Toshiba, and Lenovo Laptops
- All printers at the site are HP and are under a service/support contract with HP as well as all of the Servers. We only provide smart hands support for both.
- PC Desktop maintenance and upgrades
- Laptop maintenance and upgrades
- Windows 7, 8
- Anti-Virus upgrades and maintenance
- On site hardware and software assistance
- Peripherals troubleshooting - monitor, mouse, etc
- Printer support - installation and configure; troubleshoot
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described are those, which must be met by an employee to successfully, perform the essential functions of this job.
The person in this position must be able to:
- Frequently talk, hear and see
- Frequently use hands to handle objects, tools or controls
- Regularly stand, walk, reach with hands and/or arms, and sit - all for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequently be able to read computer terminal screen and use keyboard
- Ability to stand upright to repair equipment for possible long periods of time
- Ability to crawl on the floor getting behind and/or under office furniture and/or equipment
