JobReady is currently recruiting to expand our DevOps team at our offices in Crows Nest in Sydney. We build software for the VET (Vocational Education and Training) and Employment Services industries.As part of our team, you will be working on developing systems and infrastructure for software that impacts peoples lives by helping them find work, receive funding for education and training opportunities, and allowing the businesses that employ them to operate efficiently.
We have some exciting DevOps projects in motion from transformation of current products to AWS (using terraform) to automating deploys and infrastructure builds that leverage ansible and Buildkite. You will work with our DevOps Lead to produce simple, elegant solutions that allow our systems to run smoothly and efficiently. You will help us continually remove unnecessary complexity, so our engineering team can focus on doing their best work.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be proficient with several of the following:
- AWS/S3 architecture and scaling (bonus points if you're familiar with terraform)
- VMware
- Ansible (or Chef, Puppet, etc.)
- New Relic, Sensu, and other monitoring tools
- PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Ruby on Rails application architectures (puma/sidekiq/nginx)
