Data Architect Contract Insurance DataQuant Capital is urgently looking for a Data Architect with exposure to multiple contracts and management information to join our high profile client on a 6 month contract.
My client is a well known financial software house, providing platforms and consultancy to the financial and insurance space.
This is a brand new role due to a volume of new customers involving modelling various forms of data for client requirements. This is a hands on role with no data team present. You will be expected to work on client site alone and report back to my client.
Day to day the Data Architect will:
•Building relationships with business SMEs and stakeholders to understand their business requirements.
•Logical and physical modelling.
•Extract data from business (who don't always know where it is or what it does)
•Present data from various unclean sources
•Communicating innovative data-centric solutions and providing strong architectural designs to develop a workable solution.
•MI Reporting
•Documenting
•Provide expertise on Data management capabilities.
•Analyse and model data concepts across the enterprise.
•Consulting on the necessary data architecture, elaborating the requirements, business KPIs and other reporting or analytical outputs.
My client and their customers run their own internal clouds for their application so some exposure to cloud based services would be ideal but it can be taught. Customers access the cloud and have some elements of the platform hosted within their infrastructure architecture so client site exposure is likely.
The successful data architect will have experience in working with data solutions, such as; Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence or Analytics based solutions.
Data Architects Must have:
Experience Client facing
Experience of multiple projects
Hands on Logical modelling
Experience of ETL
5 years commercial data architecture experience
Data Modelling
Relational and multi-dimensional data modelling and mapping
Data mapping in an enterprise environment
ETL
Data Warehousing
Ideally some experience of sales or marketing data
Salesforce understanding would be beneficial
I am not looking for massive ftse 100 enterprise architects who need a full team around them.
