Day to day duties:
The main bulk of the work will be around Enterprise Infrastructure Administration in Ecommerce solutions: predominantly Magento optimisation within a LAMP or LNMP stack.
Infrastructure installs, system administration and optimisation of applications within the RedHat and CentOS (5-7) strains of Linux
Support code deployments, re-platforms, external system integrations with a mix of BAU and specific projects.
Evaluating caching, DNS etc of hardware/software firewalls and load balancers
Required experience:
Commercial experience with Redhat and Cetos, Linux.
Knowledge in the area of automation and virtualisation using Chef, AWS and GitHub.
Embracing the Agile Methodology within a Devops work stream, but also happy to get on with linux system administration
Familiar with virtual testing environment for the Dev Team using AWS instances and VM's in standard shared hosting/ cloud offerings.
Familiarity with pen testing, CVEs, SQL injections.
Worked within a continuous integration environment
Location: Manchester
Rate: £400 - £425
Length: 6 months (high extension possibility)
