Proteus Europe is searching for a French and Dutch speaking .NET Application Architect to begin a 12 month contract based in Brussels, Belgium.Our Client :-
Our client is based in Brussels, Belgium and they are a large player in the Insurance Industry.
Your New role :-
Our client is actively searching a .NET Application Architect to join its architecture team. The architecture team sets out and follows up the architecture guidelines of all starting big projects and ensures the quality of the existing and new patrimony of applications.
Application Development projects
- Collaborate in a virtual team of architects (.NET Development, Framework, infrastructure)
- Design the technical (mostly .NET) architecture of all starting application development projects. Focus on security related aspects such as authentication,
identification, security enrolment process, etc.
- Explain, coach and follow-up the .NET development and Framework engineering teams during these projects.
- Give support to the development team and help to solve all occurring problems during development.
- Report to lead architect, project leaders and managers on risks, issues, planning
Quality Assurance / Global technology architecture /Technology Watch
-Ensure the quality of new built and existing applications.
-Propose and document the required standards, guidelines, best practices to
-increase development productivity, security integration and quality.
-Propose tools or techniques to increase development productivity and quality.
-Analyse performance issues, search for root causes and solve these issues.
-Propose KPIs to track quality or performance on a recurrent basis.
-Participate to new technologies/products evaluations/proof of concepts
Your Skills and experience :-
Essential Skills :-
- Dutch and French, one fluent and basic knowledge of the other at least.
-Experience as a .NET developer on business applications.
-Experience as a software/application .NET architect.
-Experience on projects with different technology stacks, integration and security aspects (with packages or cloud solutions) and infrastructure aspects
-Strong experience with security frameworks for .NET development (authentication, enrolment)
-Experience with mobile app development and architecture (web or native)
-Advanced knowledge and experience in .NET C# and NET framework (from 2.0 to latest)
-Advanced knowledge of federated security methods (oAuth, SAML, WIF, ADFS, e-ID usage)
-Advanced knowledge and experience in following standard
-.NET technologies (ASP .NET forms and MVC, ASP.NET Web API, WCF, Entity Framework).
-Knowledge of SOAP and XML technologies + REST, Json
-Knowledge of popular technologies and framework built around .NET (enterprise library, mocking framework e.g.Moq, IOC container, etc.)
Being aware of best practices, trends and evolutions of the IT industry and most particularly Microsoft technologies stacks.
-Knowledge of API Gateway technologies
-Experience in solving performance related problems specifically on web applications e.g. caching + web traffic optimization)
-Knowledge and experience of web client technologies
(javascript, jquery)
-Knowledge of technologies and framework around JavaScript (Jquery UI, Jquery templating, knockout.js, angular.js)
-Knowledge of Responsive design framework such as Bootstrap.
-Knowledge of SQL Server (standard application database access management)
-Experience in unit testing frameworks (MSTest, Nunit..)
-Knowledge of VSTS or TFS (e.g. source control, Work items, Build)
-Knowledge of mobile native or hybrid technologies (Apple objective C/swift + SDK, Android Java + SDK, Xamarin, etc.)
-Strong knowledge and experience of most common design patterns (dependency injection, MVC, MVVM) and OO
-Experience in development guidelines
-Experience in software, security and infrastructure architecture
-Experience with identity and access management
Desirable Skills :-
-Experience on modern web applications development (responsive design, real time and interactive)
-Experience in insurance or financial domain.
