Description
Job Description- The successful candidate will have prior payroll experience, PeopleSoft knowledge preferred, and will be able to handle the following responsibilities:
- Process biweekly corporate payrolls
- Answer employee questions related to pay and resolve any issues
- Provide guidance to department managers on payroll, attendance and time-off policies
- Calculate overpayments for prior and current year wages
- Process payroll deductions related to overpayments
- Prepare and mail out balance letters for overpayments
- Work closely with the Payroll Tax Department and request form W-2 corrections
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of payroll experience; PeopleSoft system preferred
- Good customer service focus and customer-centered approach when dealing with employees at all levels of the organization
- Previous payroll administration experience required
- Knowledge of various local, state, and federal tax laws
- Familiar with overpayments and repayments of current and prior year wages and tax implications
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate a high level of confidentiality
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, Access and Word
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
