For our client in Leeuwarden we are looking for an IT Dev Engineer, Print Management.
The Document Management department is responsible for the development and maintenance of all applications with regard to document composition, print management, scanning / data capture and archiving. We are working with state of the art software packages from Ricoh and EMC2.
Knowledge and experience of the following are expected:
Advanced Function Presentation (AFP)
Portable Document Format (PDF)
event based/Batch Printing of Documents
postal distribution
The Print Management team within the Document Management department is responsible for the development, lifecycle management and operations of Ricoh ProcessDirector (RPD) and its related components. Within RPD is the standard target solution for output management.
On average every day about statements and overviews and 50.000 letters and commercial mailings are being printed. The most of these prints are also enveloped automatically.
Technical Role Requirements:
1. Completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical IT study
2. Knowledge of and experience with:
- Java (OCP) and knowledge of design patterns like Spring Batch is requested
- Experience with PureBasic or similar programming languages (e.g. C++, Python) and HTML is considered to be an advantage.
- Working in a high volume Document Printing environment (preferably AFP Knowledge) is a pre
- Working according to the Agile/Scrum method as well as with the DevOps method and ITIL is a pre
- At least 2 years' experience withLinux environments such as Red Hat is required
- Continuous Delivery tooling; e.g. Nolio, Jenkins, GIT. Git is the most important tooling for this role
- RPD or a similar Document Printing package is a pre.
3. Also, you are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and in writing. This is a requirement.
Your main tasks will be:
Developing and implementing patches/releases of the Print Management software (currently PureBasic) in conjunction with the RPD package and its related components in two-week sprints.
You advise and possibly start up migration of Pure Basic software towards a Java architecture.
You are participating in the further growth and implementation of Continuous Delivery tooling.
You actively participate in the Scrum process and in Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices.
You will play a positive role with your DevOps team growing the experience and knowledge within your team.
Environment:
As part of the Print Management team you will have a crucial role in managing high volume printing of different types of documents (statements, mortgages letters) for the clients customers. You will be responsible for developing and supporting applications/tools for the business partners with 7*24 availability. You will contribute to the team's strategy of rolling upgrades and maintaining performance, availability, monitoring, security and Continuous Delivery pipeline. Together with other Ops and Dev Engineers in your team you will work according to the Scrum methodology.
With experience of Print Management you are specialized in Output Management and the role it plays in the relationship with the customer, client services and risk control.
As an IT Dev Engineer at Document Management you and 6 other enthusiastic professional colleagues will work together in a DevOps team in Leeuwarden (The Netherlands).
Delivering a generic service, it's important that you are proactive and be focused on delivering a continuously improvement of the domestic Dutch Customer Experience.
Location:
As the work is transferred from Arnhem to Leeuwarden, candidates are expected to work the first period significant time in Arnhem for knowledge transfer.
