POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The main function of this position is to perform the download, checkout and test and calibration of unitary control systems connected to a building automation system. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of Small Jobs and Extra work orders may be assigned as well. The various products installed and supported fall into the - HVAC, Automation Controls, Life Safety, Fire, and Security systems category as well as their associated computer systems.

KEY ACTIVITY/ELEMENTS

  • Delivery of projects; including but limited to, engineering, drawings, programming, documentation, installation, management of sub-contractors, start-up, testing and customer acceptance.
  • Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
  • Test, calibrate verify system and peripheral devices. Testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes (eg ULC536).
  • Setup computer networks
  • Trouble shoot low voltage wiring
  • Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches.
  • Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.
  • Update Customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes.
  • Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required.
  • Promote, build and maintain good customer relations.
  • Keep supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems.
  • Participate in customer Cadence meetings and communicate project status on a daily basis
  • Demonstrate System and provide training to customers as required.
  • Deliver work at estimated hours and cost estimate
  • Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Report near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand and follow site safety plans
  • Be responsible for Honeywell assets such as Tools, proprietary Software, & site database.
  • Attend and complete training programs as required.
  • Accurate and timely submission of all required paperwork, meet all reporting requirements.
  • Completion and submission of Daily Reports
  • Follow Standard Work for this role
