Description

Title: Field service technician - GA (Multiple openings)

Location: Kennesaw, GA

Client: Leading healthcare company

Rate: $17.43 - $21.00/hr on w2 without benefits

Duration: 13 Months (with the possibility of extension )

Outcomes: The successful candidate will:

  • Support technical service and repair for client's products including Sleep Diagnostic and Titration Products.
  • Perform presales support, installations of ventilation, diagnostic, and other devices in the hospital, institutional and home environments.
  • Offer on-site service, training, and education to customer's bio-medical technicians.
  • Assist in identifying and drafting needed procedures, policies, manuals, etc.
  • Provide technical advice and support to client's sales staff.
  • Execute pick-up/delivery of home care and hospital rentals and customer owned devices.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure minimum local inventory availability.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to provide time effective customer service.
  • Enter and maintain all service notifications, service orders and resource-related billing.
  • Provide after hours support.
  • This position operates remotely and incumbent must be able to operate independently, resourceful, and be self-motivated. This position interfaces directly with customers of Philips Respironics, so excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Bio-Medical Technology required. Candidate will need to complete all applicable client's Service Training Modules.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of working in electronics or bio-medical technical repair. Field Service experience highly desired. Must demonstrate complete technical understanding of all serviceable products. Work experience in a Customer Service environment highly desired. Previous experience with order entry, shipping, receiving and inventory control automated systems highly desired. Experience with Networking Applications, Microsoft Word and Excel desired.

Description:

  • Work is performed at the customer's site requiring sitting, standing and walking. Incumbent must able to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as well as work with others on the physical movement of the equipment which may include kneeling, squatting, crawling, twisting, bending and reaching.
  • Fine motor skills are necessary for computer input as well as repairing electronic equipment and operating telephone, fax, copier, etc.
  • Incumbent will be required to make frequent deliveries and pick-ups requiring driving. Position will travel in defined territory an estimated 90% of the time. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, therefore must possess a valid Driver's License.
