Description
Test Automation engineer urgently required for a project in Amsterdam. The contract will be an initial duration of 6 months with the likelihood of extension.
Responsibilities:
*Develop test scripts library using the selected automation tool
*Run and report and stability and endurance testing
*Identifies actual or potential problems of the software at different states of the development
*Perform manual black and White Box testing
*Report issue and follow them until their closing state
*Collaborate with peers testers and developers to improve testing processes
*Assisting in creating user documentation and/or training programs
*Collaborating with other software engineers to evolve a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline, from the QA/Test standpoint.
*Track record as a test automation software developer. Able to develop test platforms from the ground up and maintaining existing automation frameworks. Able to identify areas where manual testing is inefficient and greatly improves them through automated solutions.
Skills and qualifications:
*Experience on Quality Assurance for Cable TV (eg - VOD, UI, DVR, Apps)
*Knowledge of DVB standards
*Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
*Test Automation experience with scripts written in python
*Experience any automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, UIAutomator, TestDroid etc.
*Experience working in an Agile environment and working directly with engineers
*Ability of reading Ethernet protocols using eg Wireshark
*Must have experience with Junit or NUnit testing frameworks.
*Must have experience with Continuous Integration and supporting systems - Jenkins, source code repository (Git).
*Must have experience with SoapUI and Restful WebServices.
*Experience with Shell Scripting is required.
*Experience in JavaScript is preferable.
*Experience in .NET framework and C# is a plus
