Description
We are looking for a passionate, self motivated, and friendly backend python web developer who can help our current development team create highly scalable web apps. This is a 3-6 month contract position. Applicants must be in the Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
- Write well-documented and maintainable Python code
- Help architect projects to be secure, scalable, and highly performant
- Write and maintain RESTful API's to be consumed by both web and mobile apps.
- Deploy applications to cloud infrastructures like AWS
- Setup and maintain continuous integration (CircleCI)
- Collaborate closely with our team of developers, designers, and product managers
- Keep up with new technologies within the web space
Requirements
- Able to communicate well with both a technical and non-technical stakeholder/client
- High level of skill with Python web frameworks (Flask & Django)
- Experience writing and deploying large scale (non-trivial) apps
- Working knowledge of web application architectures and technologies
- Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases
- Experience with Authentication (OAuth 2.0)
- Very comfortable with Git and the command line
Bonus Points
- Comfortable with JavaScript and the frontend
- Experience with Firebase
