Academic/Craft Instructor- Mechanical/Electrical and Mech-Elec

My Client, a leading Rail Engineering company based in Coventry are urgently seeking a 3 x Craft Instructor within Electrical/Mechanical and Mech-Elec to join their team for a 3-12 month contract and 2 x Academic Instructor within the same areas. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week.

Opportunities have arisen for Electrical or Mechanical, Academics or Engineers to join a FTSE 100 Organisation based in Coventry as an Academic or Craft Instructor, working on a long established Rail contract.. This will be supporting the delivery of professional training of NVQ and/or BTEC programmes and promoting their values across the academy structure.

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals within both Craft and Academic engineering to join the evolving technical and dedicated academy department, focused on delivering world class technical support and instruction to apprenticeship programmes. There will be extensive development, training and support in order to build on existing skills with a view to becoming a fully fledged Instructor. Previous Instruction experience is desirable - however not essential as training will be provided. You just need to be enthusiastic and hold the right attitude to succeed in this area.

* Principally deliver academic or craft, electrical or mechanical engineering studies to Academy Apprentices (18 years +)

* Innovative approach to work. Ideally competent in delivering teaching/instruction in the engineering sector

* Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures

* Demonstrate and support good practice through innovative teaching and learning strategies

Qualifications & Requirements

The key requirement for the individual will be to have a high level of hands on or academic experience in either electrical or mechanical engineering, where you can transfer this to an educational environment. There will be extensive development, training and support provided in order to build on existing skills with a view to becoming a fully-fledged Craft or Academic Instructor.
