Prestigious Organization is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with the appropriate skills to complete the projects and duties listed below. The successful candidate will report to the Network Service Group Leader and will be a subject matter expert in Cisco VoIP, VPN, F5 load balancers and multicast.

The period of performance will be for 12 months, this is a 12 month contract.

Projects & Duties:

Complete the migration of Cisco VoIP systems (CUCM, CUC, UCCX, CUPS) from version v9.x to v10.x. Federate the existing Cisco Jabber instance to 3rd party IM providers such as Yahoo and AOL. In addition, provide day to day support responsibilities including troubleshooting, programming phones, and move/add/changes.

  • Complete the upgrade of the AnyConnect VPN from Cisco ASA-5540 to Cisco ASA-5545-X and perform all necessary day-to-day duties for the system.
  • Provide day-to-day support responsibilities of existing F5 LTM load balancer environment as well as assist with migration projects as necessary.
  • Work with staff to review current networking environment and create a design to deploy site-wide multicast.

CCD is an ISO20K certified organization. As such, the candidate must work within the ISO20K processes established by the division. The candidate will be required to create documentation - both design and operational - and to work with other Network Services staff members to ensure knowledge transfer at the completion of each project.

Skills and Experience

At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining a large-scale network required.

At least 2 years experience managing and maintaining a Cisco VoIP infrastructure, BigIP F5 load-balancers, Cisco NXOS, and Cisco Nexus 7K platforms.

Cisco CCIE Collaboration certification preferred.

Thorough working knowledge of routing, switching, multicast, and QoS.

Ability to take responsibility for medium to large-scale projects.

Experience working within an ITIL framework and processes with successful outcomes within a large scale diverse global service management environment.

Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and visualizations; ability to communicate and facilitate at all levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors or Bachelor + degree in a technology discipline, Bachelor or Master Degree in IT or Computer Science preferred.
