DESCRIPTION:
Seeking a BSA or BA Business Analyst to participate in delivery of business solutions in various business areas of the organization. The business analyst is a go-to liaison between business and technology stakeholders, responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, capturing functional and non-functional requirements, and facilitating user acceptance testing in accordance with internal and external best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with Finance, Business Development, Marketing, HR, Payroll, and IT teams to develop, maintain and enhance existing and future system applications to meet business needs.
- Clearly communicate concepts and planned functionality in verbal and high-quality written formats.
- Create, maintain and support a variety of analysis documents such as business and functional requirements, UAT test plans and test cases, other supporting diagrams, charts, and reports.
- Provide stakeholder support by investigating and resolving problems, unexpected results or process flaws.
- Recommend solutions or alternate methods to satisfy requirements.
- Coordinate communication between software vendors and business departments in order to resolve software issues impacting ERP and other supporting software platforms.
- Evaluate, enhance, and streamline reporting capabilities.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines and streamlined training reference documentation. Train system users on new processes/functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- CBAP - an asset
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with high level, professional communication skills (listening, speaking, and presentation skills).
- 3-5 years business analysis or related IT/business process and SDLC experience.
- Experience with ERP, and BI applications.
- Proficient use MS Visio, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Good understanding of SQL, database design, functions and processes.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a complex environment.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
- Experience in large project-driven organizations is an asset and experience Deltek Vision ERP also nice to have.
