Seeking a Business Systems Analyst to assist in functions of application support and requirements gathering and documentation within the IT Student Information Systems team.

Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 level support to schools and students using any school based applications. This includes verification of integration data and coordinator with vendor on incident resolution. The Business Systems Analyst will also play an integral role within a highly collaborative team in working with internal clients and stakeholders to identify, define, prioritize, and implement projects that deliver value through business process engineering and automation.

In this capacity, the Analyst will participate in project planning, requirements gathering, development, and testing activities:

  • Work with end users and other stakeholders to identify business requirements. Using the gathered information, the Analyst will document the new features and acceptance criteria for detailed planning.
  • Assist in identifying short term improvements that align with business/program goals and recommend longer term solutions
  • Present alternatives to users and impacted areas to facilitate design decisions and gain consensus
  • Document process models and other artifacts
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users.

Scope of Work/Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to understand requirements.
  • Create functional documentation for IT Application business processes
  • Work with internal team to post documents to an online repository (ie SharePoint).
  • Consistently deliver high-quality services on schedule.

Contract Duration:

  • 12 months

Skills and Qualifications:

2-3 years' work experience:

  • Ability to work in an environment where multiple technology infrastructures are utilized.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Sharepoint.
  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites States.

  • Excellent command of English language
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills; strong proofreading skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers
  • Positive, productive team player

Education/Training:

  • High school diploma/Associates degree or equivalent. 2-3 years experience in similar job. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
