Transport Planner/Roads Officer - Civil Engineering, Drainage, CAD, NEC3, DMRB required for initial 3-month contract for public sector client based to the South of Edinburgh (Haddington)
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Transportation Planning/Roads Officer who will be responsible for technically reviewing planning applications and enquiries from a transport perspective as well as responding to and processing Road Construction Consent applications.
Essential Skills
- Qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Practical experience in the design of road and drainage schemes.
- Background in transport planning and development control.
- Working knowledge of DMRB, Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Work, NEC3 Contracts and other design manuals.
- Competent user of CAD.
- Thorough knowledge of health & safety legislation.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of using transport modelling software.
