Mid Weight Print Designer
My client is a FTSE 250 organisation, based in NW London. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work for one the UK's biggest sporting brands.
You'll need to be a fully rounded creative with outstanding experience in working at a high level with leading high street brands. With over 2000 shops around the country your work will have huge exposure so you'll need to know how to make a campaign stand out from the crowd.
Job Purpose
The company has a strong brand and you will be asked to support it through all your creative therefore some experience working on equally strong brands is preferable.
With a keen eye for design you'll keep abreast of the latest design innovations and bring a fresh approach to a team of print and digital designers working at the peak of their game.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the continued delivery of the new Life campaign, to differentiate from its competitors
- A key production role within the team, efficiently designing marketing collateral as part of your own workflow.
- Key skills include design for print and large formats (Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign), flight check and print processes
- Proactive input into planning, improving and delivering on 2D media projects, challenging the status quo to deliver best-in-class communications
- Strong ability to communicate across a variety of departments in an open, diplomatic and efficient way
- Efficient liaison with Agencies and 3rd parties may be required to fulfil the function of role including printers, pre-press and materials suppliers
Key Accountabilities
- Excellent core graphic design skills, with in-depth knowledge of Adobe CC
- A thorough understanding of pre-press and design for print, including large formats
- Great eye for design and keen attention to detail, responsible enough
to check your own work - Being passionate about sports very important
- The ability to thrive under pressure, in a fast paced environment
- An innovative outlook and a strong interest in media technologies
- As you'll be working across a variety of different products and with different teams within the company, you must display a high level of diplomacy and
must be able to work well under pressure
Experience
- Graduate degree/diploma in design or communications
- Proven experience designing 2D for print
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- High attention to detail
