Description
I want to create a system to register products on a website using a UNIQUE CODE (“UC”). The system has two functions. (1) product register (2) lost + found. Can start with just step (1) to begin with.Step One – Register the product
- We upload a list of UC to our website (preferably in the WP dashboard somewhere)
- Product OWNER goes to a registration page via a link with embedded Unique Code field data in the URL e.g. https://code10bags.com/register/?ucode=123456
- They fill in their name and email address and submit the form.
- If UC is valid (i.e. in a list of codes we’ve uploaded) and has not been used already, form is successfully submitted. Otherwise, they receive a rejection message.
- OWNER name, email address and UC are recorded in the list
Step two – Lost and Found
- Someone different (product FINDER) finds the product, they go to here: https://code10bags.com/lost
- They enter the UC, their email and a message.
- When they submit the form, their message + email address is sent to the OWNER
