Privacy Officer / ExpertManning Global is recruiting an Privacy Officer / Expert for our client, a global leading telecommunication company, to be based either in the Romanian, Polish or Finnish office.

Responsibilities:
- Have an intimate knowledge of industry privacy protection practices and an adequate understanding of key stakeholders & privacy demands; identify privacy protection risks in business and provide guidance for business departments to develop mitigations, helping to achieve privacy compliance objectives.
- Set up a good privacy communication mechanism with global leading international companies, develop the company’s long- and mid-term privacy protection plans, strategies, and policies, and provide guidance and impetus for business units to implement privacy protection activities.
- Manage to avoid data breaches, handle privacy crises and help to improve systems for auditing and monitoring, to therefore resolve any privacy related issues.
- Represent the company in industry privacy forums and standardization organizations; keep tracking privacy legislation and law enforcement of the major jurisdictions.
Skills:
- Knowledge of relevant privacy laws, regulations and standards, in particular GDPR in Europe, background in compliance, legal and quality assurance.
- 10+ years of privacy officer experience in multinational ICT companies or comparable regulatory working experience from Data Protection Authorities.
- Excellent communication and public relations skills and crisis management skills.
- Knowledge of information systems and technology background, experience in privacy policy, program development and training.
- Experience from Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, IBM, etc. is a big plus.
