Description
Unix Systems Administrator required by large Investment Bank, based in London to work within the Bank's Technology Infrastructure Operations area.
You should have recent and extensive Investment Banking experience as a System Administrator supporting operations within a large, complex Unix environment.
The individual should be able to demonstrate operating in a technical SME/lead capacity within the team and should have the following skills:
- Solaris 10 Systems Administration
- Linux Systems Administration (SUSE or Redhat) (Redhat preferred)
- Solstice Disk Suite (known as ODS or SVM)
- Veritas Volume Manager (VXVM)
- Veritas Cluster Server (VCS)
- NIS
- Unix/Linux in an LDAP environment
- TCP/IP Networking (Working knowledge)
- Storage technologies (EMC, Clariion, 3PAR, Netapps), Powerpath and DMP (Working knowledge)
- Proactive team player, excellent communications skills
Desirable
- NFS, Samba, FTP, SSH, Tectia SSH
- Blade hardware (HP c-class, IBM Bladecenter)
- Shell and/or Perl programming
- BMC Bladelogic
- HPAM
- BMC Patrol/Event Manager
