Description
We are looking for someone to help build out the proof of concept for an exciting new website.- This is a directory listing type website so the first stage will be to create the website and basic admin features - create/edit listings individually and upload in bulk as well as other admin section features. This stage will also include creation of a basic mobile app to view the information.
- The second stage will involve doing some intelligent scraping of information from the web.
- The third stage will involve intelligently surfacing results to users.
So this role will suit someone who likes to work individually without granular specifications. You must also be able to work across the full stack and any UI flair would be a huge advantage.
You will be the only technical team member on this project and be able to apply a wide range of your technical expertise to this project.
The choice of technologies will be yours but I am partial to Node, React, Python, Go etc.
Initially this is a 3 month project. I am open for between 20-40 hours per week work.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years in a full stack role
- Excellent English communication skills
- Advance working knowledge of at least two programming languages
- Experience using with one database eg Mysql
- Experience working across the full stack
- Experience creating responsive sites
- Experience creating APIs
- Strong product sense
- UI sensibility
- Experience with AWS
I don't mind where in the world you work from as long as you make yourself available for the occasional Skype meeting at a Sydney friendly time.
You will mainly be working with the founder of 89n - an entrepreneur with a strong technical bent and deep online product experience.
