Sytel Reply are currently looking for an experienced MPLS Platform Migration Solution Designer to fulfil an urgent requirement.
Role:
This role involves the design of technical solutions to migrate customer services.This is an initial 6 month contract position with possible extension.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Carrier and Enterprise Customers business contexts and related requirements, experience of operating at senior management level, ability to translate requirements into technical solution designs
- Technical analysis of in-life Carrier and Enterprise Customer services set up currently running over Client Legacy MPLS Cisco platform
- Conceptualize solution re-designs based on Client MSP platform, features and access technologies mapping, identification of options to migrate onto complementary services available on the Client portfolio, peer to peer reviews
- Prepare core technical documentation required for raising orders onto Client MSP platform and proceed with parallel builds
- Establish migration plans from Legacy MPLS to MSP platform by liaising with internal technical counterparts, including test plans for all Customers/services to be migrated onto MSP
Required technical skills & competencies:
- 5+ Years in Telecom environments within Solution Consulting roles exposed with international environments
- Full technical confidence of L3 MPLS Carrier and Enterprise grade environments, both in term of core to B-nd networks architectures and related technologies
- Proven experience in handling large MPLS WAN solution designs life cycle
- Competent with RFC4364 and RFC2547bis, with proven experience in handling L3 NNI's designs life cycle across different types of InterconnecT (A - B - C)
- Previous handling of complex migration projects within L3 MPLS international environments
- Confidence in handling Technical Governance processes within large multinational contexts
- Cisco Certifications ideally at CCDP and/or CCVP and/or CCNP level or proven equivalent knowledge and experience
- ITIL certified or proven equivalent knowledge
Required technical experience:
- Hybrid L3 MPLS IPVPN networks with BGP/HSRP resilient architectures
- MPLS and BGP/IP Routing protocols
- IPSec, VPN, Firewalls, authentication (RADIUS) & Cisco IOS/platform specifications
- APM, MVC type set up
- Last mile access technologies
- Network Audits, Design, Documentation required over complex solution designs and specifically over complex platform migration programmes
