Automation Tester - Python & GUI experience is essential.

Fantastic Opportunity for an experienced Automation Tester to join one of the world's leading Media and Broadcast giants.

The duration of the contract is for an initial 3 months, located over in Osterley.

Description:

As an Automation Tester, you'll be knowledgeable and passionate about technology, enjoy working closely with other smart people and use agile to ensure your projects succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

Championing testing, effective test automation and good testing practices writing and executing effective functional tests, carrying out exploratory testing
Automating functional and regression tests using well-structured maintainable code
Actively supporting agile development methods and best practices
Supporting and actively working towards test driven development and test automation
Helping to improve processes and procedures
Raising descriptive and useful bug reports
Quickly acquiring new testing skills and working with new technologies with little support
Working with other testers and teams to ensure the spread of good practices and knowledge
Assisting with the setting up and configuration of build and test environments

Requirements/Skills:

Experience testing rich graphical user interfaces
Experience and working knowledge of test automation (coding), using Python essential
Plan, execute and maintain automated functional tests
Experience of and ability to design and execute effective test cases
Good knowledge of automation tools
Knowledge of the full software development and testing life cycle in an Agile environment
Experience of hands-on testing in Agile development environments (especially Scrum and XP) and Test Driven Development
Proactive, diplomatic and clear communicator
Working knowledge of JSON and Shell Scripting
Experience of Exploratory Testing
Experience of Continuous Integration using Teamcity, Jenkins or Cruise Control
Worked in Pair Programming environments would be a plus
Experience of testing on devices would be a plus
Squish experience desirable
Knowledge of various test design techniques
Knowledge of defect and sprint tracking tools
Experience of Linux
