Description

Java Developers required for 12 month contracts on a major Greenfield project with a leading Bank in Helsinki, Finland.

Many of the project specifics are currently under NDA but you will be working on a transaction banking application and an overview of the technical requirements are below: To be suitable for these positions you must have a strong background in Java and low latency applications using the following key frameworks.

Experience of 1-2 years in 2 or more of below areas is must:

- Client Side - React JS/Redux/VueJS incl packaging using Webpack/Grunt etc

- Microservices - Using Spring Boot, Docker, Spring Cloud

- Messaging - Apache Kafka or Zookeeper

- NoSQL DB - Cassandra or MongoDB

On top of this it would also be beneficial to have experience in the following frameworks:

- Config Management/Provisioning - RunDeck/Chef/Ansible

- Monitoring - Telegraf/Chronograf/InfluxDB/Kapacitor

- Logging - Beats/Logstash/Elastic Search

You should ideally have experience in the Banking & Payments sector and be a proactive, self-learner, love challenges and be able to think 'outside of the box'.

Experience with the AWS cloud platform would be a huge benefit and you should be familiar with DevOps and have 'hands on' experience in automated build, deployment & testing.
You will be required to work in Helsinki Monday to Friday so please only apply if you can fulfil this.
This is a huge stream of work for a major bank and being Greenfield will enable you to work with some of the latest technologies.
These roles are being paid in the region of £400-£460/day (GBP) and as mentioned will start on initial 6 month contracts.
