Description
My client is a large global investment bank that is looking for a Business Audit Associate to join their global markets team. Based in London city, you will be auditing equities, Fixed Income and other capital market products.
The role will involve:
*Executing audit projects including, planning, fieldwork, identification of findings and agree action plans with key auditees.
*Continuous Monitoring of Global Wholesale and Asset Management business areas, including meetings with key auditees and evaluating any changes in the risk profile of the business which might result in a change in the audit plan, risk assessments or audit universe.
*Follow-up of issues and action plans raised in reports.
*Carry out special projects, ad hoc investigations and advisory work where required.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
*Strong background and experience of Global Markets, Investment Banking and/or Asset Management business auditing in a major financial institution or Big 4 practice firm
*Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key risks and formulate audit plans.
*Confident manner and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
*Ability to forge strong relationships with the auditees and influence control initiatives.
*Strong record of delivering to deadlines (budget and time).
Preferred background of candidate:
*At least 3 years' Big 4 or consultancy experience
*ACA qualification (ACCA acceptable)
*At least 1 1/2 years' global markets audit experience (preferably within an investment banking environment - internal audit)
