Systems Engineer required for one of the leading Aerospace OEM consultancies in the Southwest.
Job Description:
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
On hands experience in systems requirements development, validation and verification.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Avionics systems experience, preferably in displays or controllers/interface systems
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
Use of DOORS for requirements management
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Knowledge of IBM rational publishing engine is needed
Knowledge of Matlab modelling tool
Able to understand customer requirements changes across the systems engineering life cycle
Safety critical and/or safety related system verification and validation.
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Requirements:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting
Good spoken and written communication skill
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
Good organizational and time management skills
