SAP SD/MM Consultant - strong Interfaces experience
Barcelona, Spain
Duration: 6 month minimum contract + extensions
An excellent opportunity for a SAP SD/MM consultant with strong interfaces experience to join a major client in Barcelona, Spain on a minimum 6 month contract.

This role is to be responsible for supporting SAP SD/MM related interfaces & processes from functional and technical perspective during the global template rollout. Potential candidate is expected to ensure SAP Logistics interfaces are fully supported by efficient handling of requirements raised by business and IT stakeholders.

  • Complete ownership of sub-parts of the SAP stream of the project
  • Analyze SD/MM related business processes relevant identified gaps, capture new business requirements, translate those requirements into functional and technical design specifications subsequent to necessary CAB approvals following internal governance procedures
  • Work with offshore development team to build interfaces/programs to specifications
  • Coordinate/support various test phases
  • Ensure that common IT governance processes and documentation standards are maintained and applied for all system development and configuration activities
  • Actively promote the designed system and business processes within the organization and aim to identify improvement opportunities where possible
  • Detailed functional knowledge of SD/MM business processes - any PP experience/process knowledge would be a plus
  • Must have some ABAP knowledge and use of ABAP Debugging tool experience
  • Extensive experience of designing, implementing, and supporting complex ABAP developments in SAP
  • Experience of designing, implementing and supporting interfaces using IDOCs and other interface methods;
  • Experience of warehouse solutions which involve IDOC interfaces between SAP MM/SD and non-SAP third-party warehouse systems;
  • Experience in Intercompany Sales and Purchase scenarios
  • Process experience: Customer, Vendor VMI scenarios, Inter/Intra company purchasing scenarios, coman/copak/multistage subcontracting, Purchase Order processing, SRM based collaboration tools, Batch Management, Inventory Management, Stock Transfer Orders, Sales order processing end to end cycle, various sales scenarios, direct delivery, back to back processing, third party delivery, multipacks handling, etc

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of SAP implementation experience
  • Proficient in written & spoken English (absolute requisite)
  • Proficient in written & spoken Spanish much appreciated
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in following tools, disciplines and processes are nice to have: SAP Solution Manager, SAP ChaRM, ITIL tools & processes, HP Service Manager, CPG industry experience, project implementation and production support experience
  • Work location in Barcelona from Monday to thursday, home office on Friday.
