Job Description:
The Peoplesoft DBA interfaces closely with portfolio and business unit developers to design, implement, tune, and troubleshoot database solutions for new development projects, enhancements to existing solutions, and implementation of purchased vendor packages. This position ensures that proper creation, support, placement, performance and security are in place for our data. Significant coordination is required with developers and infrastructure support groups for operating system upgrades, software upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Provide PeopleSoft DBA expertise
Provide database administration consulting, including Oracle
May perform PeopleSoft Upgrades, builds, maintains and oversees PeopleSoft infrastructure, including file, Middleware, web and database Servers
Work in Tandem with Oracle DBA team on projects related to maintenance and enhancement of existing applications
Complete tasks efficiently and timely, reporting progress to Project and Engagement Managers
Seek ways to improve the process of delivering solutions and shares knowledge capital to refine technical methodologies
Create and execute backup/restore and disaster recovery strategy and scripts for databases in specified environment
Review and revise documentation frequently or as needed
Skilled at using PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleSoft Data Mover and PUM
Support application upgrades, Oracle TDE conversions, and PeopleTools upgrades
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience with application/database integration
Experience in Oracle 12c installation, upgrade, administration, and design (client is upgrading from 11g)
Experience in environments with various PeopleSoft modules
Experiences in performance tuning
