Looking for a Chartered Accountant to work with a public sector client.
Job Title: Chartered Accountant
Pay Rate: £350 Max
Location: Cardiff
Contract Length: 4-5 Months
Security Clearance Level Required: DS
CCAB Qualified Chartered Accountant
Key tasks and deliverables:
- Review the audit plans for the audited annual returns, identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the plans are robust.
- Review the audit reports accompanying the audited annual returns, identify and follow up any issues and provide assurance that the reports are satisfactory.
- Develop systems for forecasting and reporting the operational activities in the departmental accounts and be responsible for the ongoing execution of that system.
- Qualified chartered accountant with sound knowledge of the standards and practices involved in auditing statutory company accounts.
- Can present complex financial information clearly both verbally and in writing to support organizational decision-making.
- Collaborating and partnering - the post holder will need to work with internal and external contacts from a wide range of disciplines, including analysis and accountancy.
- Delivering value for money - ability to identify risks to accuracy of payments to the Department and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial controls.
- Managing a quality service - delivering a high quality and efficient operational service.
- Delivering at pace - the role will require an individual who can get up to speed quickly and work independently in a new area
Experience Required:
- This role is focussed on the delivery of the annual report and accounts requiring extensive experience of managing the year end processes and accounts production, preferably over a number of different companies.
- Advantageous would be an audit/large accountancy firm background or public sector background.
