Learn With All, a new start-up, is looking for an Interaction Designer to work on L2O, a social media network on web and mobile platforms. At L2O we believe that many of the world's problems can be solved by having meaningful conversations in a diverse culture and a trusted environment. A recently launched web client can be found at l2o.com, and iOS and Android clients are also available from the Apple Store and Google Play.
This is a part-time becoming full-time contract position.
- You will be working with the creative lead to implement primary design direction that incorporates best practices in design and technology.
- You have experience designing complex web and mobile applications with the ability to create and communicate wireframes, responsive templates and interaction design; with deliverables ranging from detailed interaction design to the creation of production-ready assets with pixel level detail.
- You have a strong understanding of UX & UI principles with a user-centered design methodology.
- You have experience with illustration, typography & animation (a plus).
- You can attend online daily stand up meeting with the tech team to stay afloat of design needs.
- You are enthusiastic about a multi-disciplinary environment with the opportunity to develop and apply skills to different areas. At times help might be needed for print and marketing design projects.
- You must be a collaborative, detail-oriented team-player with outstanding communication skills and organizational abilities as well as dependable and able to consistently deliver on time.
- You will work remotely, US time zone is preferred.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or Interactive Arts and Media
- 3+ years experience as an Interaction Designer
- Experience designing solutions for other social media networks a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Knowledge of Sketch for wireframes and comps along with Zeplin - preferred and currently used softwares
- Solid understanding of website/interface design and animation (3D a plus)
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Strong design skills and a deep understanding of the advantages and limitations of digital media
- Maintaining a superior knowledge of the latest technology as well as following trends and innovation in tech, design, social media, etc
- Ability to create innovative design solutions using strong typographic and layout skills
- Work well under pressure and able to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining high quality
- Able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication (fluent in English), organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail, a keen aesthetic sense, and a strong work ethic are essential
