Description:HWO is a western inspired retailer with a growing ecommerce presence- a copy-writing position has opened within the organization for a contracted based copywriter. Work is remote based.
The following components outline the position:
- Solid understanding of writing techniques for a variety of mediums including web site copy and press releases
- Work is designated to be a part-time/ supplement job
- Industry experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple and shifting deadlines, and prioritization of same
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Work to support a creative team to both edit existing copy and create new copy to support Internet Marketing campaigns
- Impeccable grammar and punctuation skills; copy editing and proofing will also be required
- Be both big picture and detail-oriented
- SEO Copy Friendly with ability to
- Familiarity with a variety of advertising and marketing communication concepts, practices, and procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
- Creative portfolio with previous writing samples (Retail Copy a major plus)
- Exceptional design sense and understanding of how words and images work together
- Ability to communicate and collaborate on concepts with art staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, successfully managing multiple projects at once and quickly adapting to changing deadlines and projects.
