Linux System Support Specialist
One of our market leading clients is urgently seeking an Linux system support specialist to join their multinational team in a progressive environment for a 6 months contract in Prague.
The Linux System Support Specialist is responsible for the resolution of issues with both the regional and global infrastructure server environment setup hosted within IT Services.
SKILS REQUIRED:
- Proficient strong knowledge of server infrastructure
- Proficient administration skills in RHEL
- Proficient in Networking technology (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Proficient in Programming/Scripting Languages
- Proficient with Global Service Now
- Knowledge of Veritas Storage Foundation/Infoscale
- Good knowledge of Intel-based HW (esp. HPE Proliant)
- Basic knowledge of data backup technology (Veritas NetBackup)
- Basic knowledge of clustering technologies from Microsoft and Veritas
- Basic knowledge of file storage (NAS)
- Appropriate industry certification
- Good knowledge of enterprise storage technologies and principles
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on Redhat Enterprise Linux platform and to support business initiatives
- Provide consultancy on technical architecture and technical consultancy to support the planning and overall implementation of project
- Provide support in driving continuous infrastructure optimization/automation from the technical side
- Maintain/keep the standards for platform build and management, in cooperation with other Infrastructure teams, peers from other IT Services locations
