Senior Safety Engineer- Naval
A Senior Safety Engineer with Naval experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Dorset.
This is a 6 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Senior Safety Engineer contract role
You will be responsible for organising and running Hazard Identification workshops, running periodic (eg monthly) Safety Committee meetings and production and maintenance of Safety Case documentation (Plans, Policies, Reports etc) to support Project milestones as well as conduct Risk Management in accordance with Def Stan 00-56.
Key skills required for the Senior Safety Engineer
- Domain knowledge, an understanding of engineering considerations to a complex platform.
- Knowledge of Def Stan Safety Knowledge Qualification Required.
- Previous experience of holding Safety meetings internal/external.
- Degree, Engineering or Safety related.
The role is based in Weymouth, Dorset - commutable from Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Blandford Forum, Bere Regis, Bovington, Sherborne, Yeovil, Crewkerne, Honiton, Axminster, Lyme Regis and Bridport.
