Application Security Engineer
Excellent 6-12 month contract opportunity for an Application Security Engineer to join a growing team with a household name company in Smyrna/Vinings.
You will be responsible for performing threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and code reviews to ensure security processes, controls, and life cycles are followed and aligned with best practices and frameworks. As a member of a company-wide security and compliance effort, you will work closely with and provide guidance to development teams, architects, and system administrators while leading the way in the continuing development and enhancements of shared application frameworks. Excellent communication and collaboration skills will be required in order to advise customers on risk assessment, threat modelling, existing and potential vulnerabilities.
Required Skills
- 4+ years Application Security; Current Information/Cyber Security experience
- Vulnerability testing and auditing
- Proven success creating technical reports and delivering courses about the application
- Code audit/application penetration exposure/experience
- Secure development practices and technique knowledge (OWASP Top Ten)
- Proven success working with development teams that have delivered software or software based services (development, QA, or security)
- Knowledge/Experience with at least 1 common Application Security Tool (Fortify, AppScan, WebInspect, etc)
- Relevant experience/knowledge of industry IDS/IPS, logging, vulnerability, monitoring, Firewall technology, wireless security, Anti-virus protection, OS patching, data loss prevention and SIEM technology and solutions
